Lecture en action - Autour de moi : Des trésors locaux

French Immersion. Students begin by reading the book “Autour de moi”, which presents the lives of four young people living in various Ontario communities. Then, in groups, students explore one of these communities, detailing their location, activities, ecosystem, history, geography, visiting seasons, and local industries. Each student (or pair) uses this information to individually create a leaflet, which is presented at a class tourism fair. Finally, the initial groups take part in a reflective discussion on the strengths of each community.
